At age 7, Pastor Youngbae walked into a church out of curiosity and received Christ at a revival three years later. He served as a deacon for 10 years and youth leader for 25 years at Syrachs Missionary Baptist Church in Uijeongbu, South Korea. During this time, he felt the Lord call him into full-time ministry and went to study at the Missionary Baptist Seminary in Little Rock, AR in 1998. After moving to Northern VA to serve as a missionary helper in January 2002, he was ordained Pastor of Kingstowne Korean Baptist Church and elected as a missionary by the churches of the American Baptist Association in 2004.

Since then, Pastor Youngbae has been serving the Lord as the pastor here at Kingstowne Korean Baptist Church. He and his wife, Jungmi, have two grown children (Sungmin and Minhee), a daughter-in-law (Ana), and two granddaughters (Serin and one along-the-way!), who are sources of great joy and spare time excursions.

    예배 안내

    We meet once a week on Sundays at 1 pm for the main worship service. After the service, we have a time of fellowship downstairs with a meal, followed by a Bible study around 3 pm in designated groups. Once a month, the entire church prayerfully heads out into local areas to hand out tracts and witness.

    We also meet downstairs on Wednesday evening at 7 pm for worship and an inductive Bible study. (We are currently studying through the book of 2 Peter!) We hope you will join us to worship the King at Kingstowne!
